Monica QUEEN'S HALL

It's been an unusually busy week .Been on the road man.Took ourselves along the M8 again by the big heads and telly tubby horn to the capital under the castle where we had the good fortune to be invited to be special guests of the charming Jim White in the suitable surrounding of the Queen's Hall.We were quite excited about playing in the same space that LOW had recently almost brought thunderbolts down upon us.I just about managed to bring thunderbolts down on me from Monica as i rather unwisely decided i would use a guitar pedal that had not been out ta box since the last Thrum gig.Guess what.It broke down (in the worst way - INTERMITTENTLY) on the first song which was an arrangement for voice and electric guitar. The next show was completely acoustic. The night was as much a fashion show as a concert as Jim asked me to stand up in the middle of his show and model my new trucker cap that he had very kindly bought for me.It is now in my collection with the one's that Stuart Murdoch(of Belle and Sebastian)also gifted to Monica and myself - one for every outfit. You've got to co-ordinate. You can read a review of the show at http://cdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=839 or just got to www.cdtimes.co.uk Tell you about the other shows soon.
