We went to the football the other night on a whim and we were not dissapointed. On arrival in the stadium the floodlights were on which set my heart racing with excitement.Stadium floodlights have allways had this effect on me since my first experience of them long ago on a freezing cold snowy night in coatbridge, when they turned them on at the athletics track for the first time and they lit up the hammer house fog.It was one of those fogs you can look under and above - it just hangs in the air - i had never seen one like it before or since.
Then there was the football.Eight goals - we certainly picked the right night to go.A friend picked us up after and took us to Byres Rd for coffee and cake. Is'nt it wonderful that you can now do this in Glasgow. We'll be doing this in Stockholm in a couple of weeks which is where we are taking TSM next.We have been asked to go there to represent Scotland(no not in the Eurovision)as part of the Distilled event at the Stockholm Human Centre.I think half the Scottish Executive are going - so it could be an interesting evening.A bit like Tony Blair's "cool Brittania"party. It's on the 16th Oct. if anyone is free.
We've been listening to a particularily lovely sequence of music on Late Junction as i've been writing this - we recommend it if you have'nt discovered it yet. There was a trully uplifting piece of choral song which lifted our souls to a more peaceful place - perfect end to a tiring day.
May you all be uplifted by beautiful music and sleep peacefully tonight.
